The gameplay of Super Mario Galaxy is very similar to that of Super Mario 64. It is up to Mario to explore uncharted galaxies, track down the elusive Power Stars, and return his buddies safely to their world. Mario gives chase, but he loses track of the ship as it exits the atmosphere and finds up on a space station created on the visiting comet under the supervision of the enigmatic Rosalina. Just as Mario is about to arrive, Bowser and his henchmen launch an assault on the kingdom and abduct the Princess… along with her entire castle. Princess Peach has extended an invitation to Mario to join in the festivities that will be held in the Mushroom Kingdom to commemorate the appearance of a comet that only comes around once every hundred years. In another adventure, Mario must travel to new worlds and heights to rescue Princess Peach.
